We’re a dynamic group of professionals that all share the love of photography and have all been professionally trained by Mike Freeland to perfect our craft. Mike has been in photography full time since 1991 starting at H&H Color Lab. We have the expertise to deliver magazine quality images every time we shoot. We know how to perfect lighting, posing, equipment (choosing the right lenses that are the most flattering), backup shooters and backup equipment all the way to our storefront in Downtown Lee’s Summit with a fire rated computer server room…we do not take chances and have perfected the wedding experience!

We strive to capture the story of your day and seamlessly blend into the environment at the same time. We specialize in producing magazine-quality images from every event. Freeland Photography was established in 1997 by Mike Freeland, owner/professional photographer. Our studio has photographed over 1,300 weddings in the Kansas City area and has had over 216 magazine features.

We have worked in nearly every venue in the Greater Kansas City area and are happy show you our work from your specific venue so you can see how the spaces photograph. We have
been voted by brides “Best of Weddings” at theKnot.com again this year! This is our 11th year receiving this distinction! We have also been inducted into the Wedding Hall of Fame!

What to expect

Before Your Big Day: We meet with you for a timeline planning consult. Our experience with weddings has shown these planning meetings help your day go smoother. We highly encourage an engagement session to get to know each other even better.
Your Big Day: We arrive early, with our backup equipment, dressed professionally ready to photograph and celebrate with you. We are knowledgeable on the ins & outs of weddings, and know to always expect the unexpected. From posing you with your family on the alter to being the photojournalistic photographer at the reception as you make the memories, we capture them.
After Your Big Day: Your photos are backed up immediately & edited in house. Once fully edited you will receive the full resolution final digital files with a print release.
